Residence Inn Florence

Ericka Moore at the Residence Inn Florence, SC made my stay comfortable, enjoyable, and worry-free from the moment I arrived. She was professional, kind, attentive, and a real pleasure to work with. The housekeeping team also made a noticeable difference. Sheree and Marqui were friendly, worked hard, and kept things clean, which helped make the environment consistently welcoming. It’s rare to find a team that takes such pride in their work and makes guests feel valued. Ericka, Sheree, and Marqui are tremendous assets to the hotel, and I can’t recommend them highly enough.

I’d stayed here several times without any problems until my most recent visit. When I entered room 422, it was very cold, so I took the extra blanket from the closet. A bug crawled out as I unfolded it. I’m not sure what kind it was, but there was no way I was sleeping in that room. I went straight to the front desk, and the employee was considerate and quickly moved me to another room. The second room was cleaner. I was traveling with my cat, though, and the bed wasn’t pet friendly since my cat could easily hide underneath. It didn’t have the bottom blocked off like some hotels do, so be careful if you have a small pet. Check the room carefully before unpacking. The hotel needs a complete upgrade, and the rooms need a deep cleaning every day.

The hotel is convenient, but I’d think about choosing another one now that they’re charging for parking at a Residence Inn. We used to stop here every year on our way to Florida, but we’ll be switching locations. I’d advise others to do the same. These hospitality groups shouldn’t keep nickel-and-diming guests for no added benefit. They even admitted there’s no security or anything to justify the charge.

We arrived late at night and were greeted with smiles at check-in. The staff welcomed us warmly at breakfast the next morning, and they were genuinely kind and eager to help each traveler. As we headed out, they even made sure we had something to wrap our bagels in and wished us safe travels. The service here is unparalleled.
