Studio 6 Extended Stay Florence, KY - Meijer Dr./Cincinnati

The staff were super friendly, and the location was good. The room furniture had clearly seen better days and needs a rehab. There are a lot of people living here, which is fine, but be prepared to understand why: we were below someone so loud the ceiling rattled.

I was disappointed to find the kitchenette had no silverware or anything else to use. I was lucky to get a microwave, but was told they aren’t in every room. There’s no television unless you already have a streaming service like Prime or Netflix. I won’t stay here again, and I’m thinking I may stop staying at Motel 6 altogether because it’s going downhill.

I was in room 301, with a reservation from the 16th through the 21st. The first floor smelled so strongly of dog urine that my eyes watered. In the room, the TV had no signal because its cord was damaged. I asked the office for another cable, but they acted as if they couldn’t help me. The room and bathroom were very dirty. We used bleach wipes, and they turned black. I don’t think anyone had cleaned the room, and I don’t understand why it wasn’t inspected. There was no mattress protector on the bed, so I had to ask for one. The one they gave me had a hole in it.

The room was filthy too. The shower curtain was moldy, the sofa bed mattress had huge orange stains, and there was wall damage with someone’s hair still stuck in it. I found dried marshmallows in the dresser, and food was stuck to every chair. When I wiped down the tables, the rag turned black. The first-floor hall had stained trails of dog pee, the stairs looked like they’d never been mopped, and the hallway walls were scuffed from people kicking them.
