Towneplace Suites by Marriott Forrest City

Traveling with young kids can be tough, and the breakfast team went out of their way to make my kids' day with just a box of Fruit Loops. They're still talking about it. Five stars for the service team. They were A+.

The highway noise was bad, so I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I only stayed one night and just checked out this morning. After countless hotel nights, this was the first time I'd seen the hot breakfast run out around 8 to 8:30 with nothing left to replenish. This place doesn't deserve the Marriott badge. It's two hotels in one, sharing the dining room and reception with Fairfield. I don't know how they came up with that arrangement. For a suite, it's TownePlace; for a regular room, it's Fairfield. I stayed at Fairfield a few weeks ago. Luckily breakfast was available then, though it was only meh. I don't know who owns this hotel, but they may be an out-of-town owner or someone without hotel management experience. I don't think this hotel will survive with the Marriott badge.

Our room at TownePlace Suites was nicely appointed and had everything we needed, which we appreciated. Still, I probably wouldn't book there again. The beds weren't as comfortable as the ones at the Fairfield, and traffic outside our window made it hard to rest. The air conditioning didn't seem to work properly, with the temperature changing through the night. Internet access kept cutting in and out. Wi-Fi is supposed to be included for members, but the connection was very poor and frankly unacceptable.

Tiuana, our housekeeper, was so sweet, friendly, and kind. She even suggested some parks when my kids wanted to play basketball, and she was funny too. The front desk staff were really nice the whole time as well. Super nice stay, and I highly recommend it!
