Americas Best Value Inn Ft. Myers

I’ve never been treated with such disrespect. There were no real employees available, so I had to talk to a machine with someone on it. When I finally got help, they were rude and yelled at me repeatedly for no reason. They also never returned my $100 deposit or gave any explanation or update. The room was filthy. Someone’s hair was still in the shower and toilet, grime was everywhere, and the sheets looked dirty, felt gross, and didn’t seem freshly washed. Outside the building there were items that looked drug-used, which made the place feel unsafe and neglected. I was disgusted and felt uncomfortable touching anything. This was one of the dirtiest and most unprofessional hotels I’ve stayed at. It doesn’t seem to care about guests.

Jil made check-in especially pleasant, helping me in a friendly, professional, welcoming way. The video call through a virtual screen with a live agent was a modern idea, and the process went smoothly and efficiently. For the price, the hotel is nice and offers good value. The room looked good at first glance, with two comfortable beds and a nice shower. It all felt clean and practical, and I’m happy with my stay so far. I’d recommend it.

I’m in town for business often and stay here each time, as do many of my coworkers. Since we work late, I asked the front desk about a late checkout. They told me checkout was 11:00 AM and each extra hour would be $10. I left around 11:40 AM expecting no fee, but was charged. It’s not the money, it’s the principle and the lack of clear communication. My company books here regularly, but after this, we won’t use the hotel for future business trips.

I hike the trails when I come to town, and all I want afterward is a hot shower and clean cloths. Nick was a great guy and very helpful. I paid a little more than at some places, but that’s the price for HOT WATER, which you don’t get at many cheap motels and hotels. This place has really HOT WATER, and I’m thankful for that. There’s lots of name brand fast food around the hotel too.
