Fairfield Inn & Suites Fort Wayne Southwest

My stay here earlier in the summer was good enough for four stars, but this week was a completely different story. The room was in rough shape: stained sheets and curtains, a broken fridge, dirty floor, banged-up walls, and lots of black and pink mold in the shower. It wasn't the quality I expect from Marriott. Check-in and checkout also took a while because I waited about 15 minutes for someone to come to the desk. I'll be visiting the area several times in the next couple of months, but I won't stay here again. It's too inconsistent for me to spend my money on.

It's our third day and housekeeping still hasn't come, so we've made several trips to the desk for towels, toilet paper, and other things. The mobile key never activated either. Our room is small, the windows don't open as advertised, and there's just one elevator. I'm not sure what else is nearby, so I'll look into the area before booking here again.

No running hot water for two days, in either the shower or sink, and the hallways had no heat. The coffee pot and ice bucket lid both had visible dust on them. The mini fridge worked so well it froze everything I put inside, and I couldn't get Wi-Fi in my room. It was frustrating. I stayed because the hotel was right by my work event. Nobody was hurt, and we got through it. Just a heads-up.

The staff were very kind, but the problems were a lot to deal with. Our toilet wouldn't flush on the first morning, and after five unanswered calls to the front desk, we had to go find someone ourselves. Later, the shower was cold, and they said they couldn't fix it. They offered 25% off one night plus points on our account. That didn't seem like fair compensation for being unable to shower, and I was shocked and disappointed by their solution.
