Budget Host Inn Fort Worth

Sam at the front desk was awesome, easily ten stars. The room was clean, with no bugs or dirt, and there were places to eat within walking distance. I stayed here over the summer with my husband and son. The downside was how often police were around the motel, just sitting there. I know cops are everywhere, but seeing them there all the time doesn’t look good for the business.

The staff were really friendly and tried hard to provide good service, and the prices and location were reasonable. I feel bad giving three stars because their service deserved five. But the facility needs a lot of work, including new furniture and critter control. The beds were bad, the pipes rattled in the walls whenever anyone used water, and someone always seemed to be yelling outside. I even found a broken crack pipe right outside my door. After a week of this, I couldn’t take it anymore.

My people were giving free food to homeless people in the neighborhood when they found a family sitting in the rain. They decided to get rooms for them. The receptionist treated them as if they wouldn’t pay and profiled them because they were Black, saying Black people don’t pay. They paid the full fees and called the police on him. Then he acted like he didn’t speak English. Even the officers said this wasn’t his first time doing the same thing. This isn’t acceptable. You don’t know someone if you haven’t met them, and these are humble, kind people who are always trying to help others in need. The strange part is that the person calling them names isn’t even from this country, he’s from somewhere in Asia. Please respect people.

The location was great, and the service wasn’t bad. The only issue was the remote. It was missing batteries, and it turned out not to be the right remote anyway. The room was pretty warm when we arrived, but I expect that from cheap motels, so it wasn’t too awful.
