The new management seems to be doing a good job keeping things organized and making the place welcoming. My room was very clean, from the floors and bed to the bathroom, and looked freshly cleaned when I arrived. Prices are really good for what you get, with a sense that they care about quality and service. The staff were friendly and helpful whenever I needed something, and every interaction was positive. I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels, and this was a surprisingly great experience. I’d recommend it. ⭐

This place lands somewhere in the middle, maybe the lower middle for me. Reviews reflect people's perceptions, and both one-star reviewers and five-star reviewers are entitled to their views. I expect to get what I pay for here. The rooms were upgraded fairly recently, and if all you need is a place to sleep and shower, it covers the basics. There’s no fluff. The free breakfast is a stretch: hot coffee was available for me at 7:30am, and that made me happy, but calling the cheap little granola bars breakfast is a stretch. Cats wander the parking lot, and there’s occasional cat poop around, which I find kind of gross. The front desk guy was very nice and gave me the customer service I’d expect. Since I arrived early, I could look at rooms on the first or second floor and choose one. That was great service. If you’re okay staying somewhere some people live, you’ll be fine. If not, move on. People complaining about the noisy highway can see it on the map before booking.

The highway right next to the location made it rough, and I couldn’t get enough sleep. The pool was closed, and there was no breakfast when I checked at 8:30 a.m. The front desk staff were super cool and chill, though. Rooms could use more cleaning and updating.

The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean and free of bugs, but it needs work. There was a fridge and microwave, but no coffee pot, phone, or lamps. The bathroom had no mirror, and the outlets weren’t up to code. The staff I met at check-in and checkout were very nice. It’s right beside a freeway entrance, so the traffic sounded like a racetrack all night. I’m a light sleeper and didn’t rest well; someone who sleeps more deeply might be fine. The neighborhood wasn’t the best, but as an older woman I felt safe enough. If you just need a basic bed, you could do worse. 6/10

I checked out around 5:30 a.m. because I couldn’t sleep with the light coming in, the traffic noise, and the general ickiness. There were no bedside lamps, blankets, or tissues, and the sink was clogged. The curtains didn’t fit the windows, so I couldn’t darken the room. I thought this place had been vetted because it was on the conference coordinator’s recommended hotel list. It was the worst place I’ve ever stayed.
