I only have one small suggestion: it would be nice to have a few energy drink options for guests. I couldn’t find one at the hotel, so I walked three blocks to a sister property to buy one. On my way back, I ran into Fernando from security at the rear entrance and showed him my room key while explaining how frustrated I was. He took me by a back route to the lobby so I could reach the buffet before it closed. Later, I found a handwritten note and energy drinks in my room. Fernando had gone out and got the kind I like. He also called afterward to follow up. That thoughtful response completely changed my mood. As a Bonvoy status member who stays at hotels often, I’ve never had service like what I experienced at Hotel Drover. Fernando’s kindness and attention reflect really well on the hotel. I hope he gets recognized and has a chance to move into leadership. I can see him as a General Manager someday.

The food was a highlight, from the margaritas and succulent filets to the Texas-style bananas foster French toast. The property is beautiful, with plenty of spots to relax and enjoy the western atmosphere. Every detail felt well done, and the employees made sure we felt welcome and looked after. Joseph at the bar, Elijah our bell hop, and the valet staff all deserve a shout-out. They were friendly, polite, respectful, and had that Texas-style warmth. We love Fort Worth, and after this visit to Hotel Drover we’ll be spoiled. It was hard to tear ourselves away.

Christmas is a great time to visit Fort Worth. The decorations around the Drover made for some lovely photo opportunities, and dinner at the 97 West steak restaurant was superb. My wife and I stayed overnight a couple of weeks before Christmas, and the staff and concierge helped make it a wonderful visit. A special thanks to Jayden Pantoja and Debra Warr for helping us with dinner reservations and room amenities. We can’t wait to return.

We dropped into Hotel Drover for a drink and ended up loving the visit. The patio by the Trinity River is a calm place to sit and take in the view, and the lobby has a warm, upscale feel with its historic Stockyards western decor. The drinks were great. The spicy margarita had just the right kick, and the Cowboy Colada was a fun blend of coconut, pineapple juice, and Buffalo Trace whiskey. You don’t have to stay overnight to enjoy the place. The ambiance alone makes it worth stopping by.

We got to enjoy the last weekend of the Christmas decorations, with the lights and holiday touches still up. The restaurants, bars, and indoor and outdoor lounge spaces were all outstanding. Hotel Drover really is a wonderful way to experience the Fort Worth Stockyards, and we’re looking forward to coming back. Billy, the Hotel Manager, deserves a big thank you. My wife was having trouble sorting out our booking just before we arrived, and he made sure everything went smoothly, including our room and the Little Ropers program for the kids. It made the whole weekend feel first class.
