We had a much better stay in Room 428 after the manager moved us the next day, and it was quieter. But we probably won’t return. Our first room, #201, had a train so loud at 2:45 a.m. it sounded like it was coming through the room, and we couldn’t get back to sleep. Hot water didn’t reach the shower or bathroom sink until we’d let it run for about 17 minutes. We guessed the room hadn’t been used in a while. The microwave above the stove started flashing its time settings uncontrollably and didn’t work right. Unplugging it didn’t help. We didn’t use the dishwasher, but it seemed loose and moved around instead of being bolted to the counter. We were also charged $19 a day for parking, which was waived. As Texans, we don’t think guests should pay when there’s a parking lot, and Expedia’s fine print didn’t mention the fee. Those are unacceptable problems for a hotel that charges good money. Fort Worth is a tough place to find a hotel because of the rail lines and high prices. Hope this helps someone else.

After more than 20 years in hospitality and plenty of hotel stays around the country, I can say without hesitation this Marriott has been the best. The breakfast team deserves credit too. The young woman in the kitchen this morning was kind, attentive, and checked that guests had what they needed. Those personal touches stand out. Mia at the front desk made me feel welcome as soon as I walked in. Her genuine, pleasant manner set the tone, and she went out of her way to make sure everything went smoothly. The staff’s warmth, professionalism, and care are unmatched in my experience. They clearly take pride in looking after guests. I’m already looking forward to coming back. Thanks to the whole team for such a positive stay.

I’m still without hot water in either the shower or sinks, more than two hours after reporting it to the front desk. At first they said maintenance would come, but after I waited over an hour, I was told nobody from maintenance was onsite. They also said a room change wasn’t available, and that using another room just to shower might be the only option. For a stay costing around $1,800, this is disappointing. Hot water is a basic expectation, and the way this has been handled has me seriously reconsidering my loyalty as a Marriott member.

I’ve been here almost a month and still can’t count on getting hot water for a shower. Maintenance checked and said the water heater was running, but nearly every day I have to let the water run for over 20 minutes before it gets warm. That’s getting ridiculous. There’s only one washer, and even after paying $2 for a load, the dryer never gets the clothes fully dry.
