Sonesta ES Suites Fort Worth Fossil Creek

Breakfast stayed well stocked and tidy right through service, even near closing time. Our room was exceptionally clean, with soft, comfortable towels, and the front desk staff were kind and accommodating.

The location worked well for getting to the stock yards, with plenty of places to eat nearby. Our two bedroom suite was a nice setup for two adults and two kids, since each bedroom had its own bathroom. There was a small kitchenette, though it only had a few very basic cooking items, and breakfast was decent. The beds made the stay miserable. The mattresses were unbelievably hard, the pillows weren’t good, and my family and I barely slept throughout the vacation because our backs hurt and the pain kept waking us. The couch might honestly have been more comfortable. I can’t see myself staying again with beds like these. If they replaced them, I’d definitely come back.

We found black mold in several places across multiple rooms, including the carpet, walls, and curtains. The air felt extremely humid. At first we thought that was just Texas weather, but then we realized how widespread the mold was. It also got onto our belongings, and we had to throw several things away because they were contaminated. When we raised it with manager Jay Patel, he accused us of bringing the mold ourselves. That was insulting and absurd. We’ve never had mold on our belongings before, and his response showed no concern or responsibility about guest safety. We later found several reviews from the past year mentioning black mold in rooms and air vents, so it appears management has known about this and still hasn’t dealt with it. This is a serious health hazard and the property is poorly maintained. Don’t stay here if you care about your health. It should be inspected and properly remediated before it remains in operation.

I’ve been staying at the Fossil Creek location for months now. Krystall and the rest of the staff have made it feel like home away from home. I highly recommend staying here!
