Franklin Marriott Cool Springs

[July 2025] The Smokey Mountain painting on the bedroom wall caught my eye right away. I was staying alone during a Nashville trip and felt safe, even though the hotel is tucked into a smaller city nearby. It was a surprisingly relaxing place to stay. I also had the pool mostly to myself for a while, until a group of moody teenagers showed up.

The hotel felt really cozy, and the fridges have actual temperature knobs, which you don’t find everywhere these days. Parking is free, too. The front desk service was great: on two separate occasions, we were given small gifts after minor inconveniences. We didn’t expect anything, so it felt like a nice blessing.

The tub was the biggest drawback for me: it was so slippery, and the hotel had no anti-slip mats. I also couldn’t use the ironing board. Getting around in my wheelchair was difficult because the ramps felt too narrow and the bathroom doors had no assistance buttons. I was there for a dance competition and to see my best friend. For the price, the rooms were good, with a useful layout, clean throughout, and effective AC and heat. My accessible tub had a seat and hand wand, with strong pressure and hot water that stayed hot even with all the dancers showering. The hotel says it has two restaurants, but it’s really one restaurant that also serves Starbucks. If you don’t use a wheelchair, I think you’d enjoy the place.

The food was much better than I expected, and the service was just as good. I slept well in a very comfortable bed, and the amenities were well cared for. The Franklin Cool Springs Marriott was clean and easy to arrive at, with a large parking lot. I’d happily return and recommend it for work or a leisure trip.
