The Wi-Fi is fast and reliable, and the staff and other guests are friendly. The workers go out of their way to help, and the place feels kid friendly. It can be noisy sometimes, though other times it’s quiet. The building is old and you can hear the floors, and the hot water is hit or miss. The heat only blows cold air, and laundry machines sometimes eat your coins, but you can tap to pay at the machines and at the snack and drink vending machines. The rooms are a decent size and comfortable, with a kitchen and dining area. They don’t have smart TVs, but you can add a stick to one. There are strict policies, like at other places, and there’s a $50 deposit. At $290 a week, it’s hard to beat, especially with everything nearby: Walmart is three minutes away, the bowling alley one minute, and McDonald’s and Dollar Tree are within walking distance. There’s also a drive-through across the street and other food spots nearby. You can book online or add more time to a reservation. I don’t have anything bad to say about this place, and I’d happily stay here.
I came here to be near my job as a truck driver, and after a 16-hour shift I was told I had to leave my room so they could spray. I hadn’t received any notice. I need to be back at work by 8:30 tonight, and after only a 10-hour break I’m already sick and exhausted. I wasn’t given any warning about this.
I’ve been here five weeks, and for more than two of them I’ve had no more than 30 seconds of hot water at a time. Management knows, but it still hasn’t been fixed. I’m paying almost $400 a week, so I shouldn’t have to worry about hot water. Since I’ve stayed over a month, I believe I’m a tenant and wonder whether they can legally leave us without it.
I’ve been staying here almost three months, and the hot water has failed to stay hot for more than 20 seconds about four times. They offered my fiancé and me another room to shower in, but I just want to use my own shower. At nearly $400 a week, I’ll move to another hotel for the same price if this keeps happening.
The alarms keep going off for no reason, usually two or three times a day and often around 3 or 4 a.m. In the last hour alone, they’ve gone off at least six times. I’m getting really tired of it.
