SpringHill Suites by Marriott Franklin Cool Springs

Breakfast was good both mornings, with scrambled eggs, sausage, and waffles. The shower had good water flow and the toiletries were fine. We come every year for the Dickens of a Christmas festival and stayed two nights, but the room wasn’t serviced. They should at least pick up trash, make the bed, and replace towels. For two adults staying two nights without service, leave four towels and four washcloths. Overnight parking costs $10 and is convenient. I’d avoid the Lower Level, since it’s a floor below the lobby. Ice machines are only on LL, 2nd, and 4th floors. It’s a solid hotel that could be excellent with a few small improvements.

I’d come back, since the stay was very good overall. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the complimentary breakfast had plenty of choices, and the hotel was well maintained. The location was convenient too. Check-in didn’t feel especially welcoming, though, and I was charged for parking even though I didn’t park there. The lot is shared with a Shake Shack and a jewelry store, so it seems odd that hotel guests are the ones charged to use what’s basically a public lot.

It was not bad, but the room was only sort of clean, with dead ladybugs by the windows, and the heat/AC unit was dirty. The front desk was friendly; breakfast was mediocre. We chose to skip housekeeping, but on checkout day a housekeeper opened the door while I was showering and scared my kids, even though we still had several hours before checkout. I should have latched the door so it couldn’t open all the way.

The hotel was super clean, and the rooms looked brand new even though it had been open for a couple of years. You can see the track from the courtyard, and the pool area looked really cool, though I didn’t bring my bathing suit. The town itself is in the middle of nowhere, but the hotel is connected to the new Circa sportsbook. What a great hotel!
