Around 1 a.m., a woman across the hall started screaming angry swear words. I texted the “virtual concierge” and got no reply. I eventually called the front desk. A man answered without giving his name and told me I should have called the police myself, though he said he'd handle it. He claimed not to know about the virtual concierge, then I got a text saying the issue was handled while it was still going on. By about 3 a.m., my whole family was awake, and my kids were crying at the scary noises outside our room. I called the front desk again. The same man answered and scolded me so badly for calling that I hung up. Police arrived, several Sheriffs were in the hallway, they searched the room across from us, and someone was escorted off the property. I called Corporate Customer Service, and we decided to check out right away and file a complaint seeking a FULL refund. I was told we had to complete checkout to do that. Around 5 a.m., I quietly left my card at the desk and politely asked the attendant whether he was the man who'd scolded me on the phone and if I could have his name. He answered with blatant hostility again: “My name is Anthony and I am the one who got someone kicked out of this hotel by police for you, GET OUT RIGHT NOW or I will call the police on you too!!” He threatened me in front of my exhausted, already traumatized children. I said I'd contact customer service, and he threatened me with arrest a second time. Before all that, when we finally reached our suite after finding no one at the desk for check-in, the carpet and couch were heavily soiled, and the curtains and bed shams on both beds were visibly ripped. My daughter poured tap water into a clean cup, and brown sediment floated up. THAT WAS NOT THE ISSUE. I spoke with the hotel General Manager by phone afterward. They wouldn't refund the money we'd spent and could only offer to return our loyalty points. My family is considering legal action, and after this experience we'll never trust another Choice Hotel. We transferred to a Hilton for our second night and had none of these problems, even though it was sold out.

The room was clean and nice, and the front desk staff were kind and easy to approach. I felt safe staying here and would come back. It’s also easy to reach the main road, with a Wawa and Ihop just across the street.

We’d stay here again. The price felt fair for what we got, and breakfast had a good range of choices for a hotel, even if it wasn’t quite like eating at home or in a restaurant. Our king suite was one room, but a partial wall set off the living area and left space for our young child’s crib. That layout also let us use some lights without brightening the whole room. The newer thermostat was simple to operate, and we kept the room comfortably cool.

The location right by the I-95 interchange is really convenient. The rooms are starting to feel worn and had a somewhat musty smell. Breakfast was well below average, and the eggs were very gritty.

After I checked out, they charged my card over some kind of broken shower bracket. I told them I hadn’t even used the shower and had no idea what bracket they meant. For seven days straight I called trying to reach the manager, but kept hearing the manager wasn’t in. The corporate office offered no solution either. American Express eventually credited my account and handled it. I won’t stay at another hotel or motel affiliated with Choice Hotels.
