Bob and Cherish welcomed us warmly into their beautiful home in a great location. Our room and bed were clean and comfortable, and Bob’s breakfast was delicious. Cherish also left a sweet candy bar for us to enjoy when coming or going. There are plenty of bed and breakfasts in Galena, but I can’t imagine a better experience. I’d stay at Avery on Prospect Hill again and recommend it to family and friends. A truly first-class stay with wonderful hosts.

Bob and Cherish made our first trip to Galena even better. We found Avery while researching a quiet weekend getaway, and it turned out to be a wonderful find. The rooms have classic charm, quaint style, and extremely comfortable bedding. Main St is a five- to seven-minute stroll away, and the hosts know the restaurants well, so ask them for recommendations. Bob loves to cook, as you’ll quickly discover from the breakfast smells at 9AM sharp and fresh cookies every day at 3:30. He’s also very accommodating with special requests and food allergies. There’s a stocked candy bar for late-night cravings, too. I highly recommend this stay.

Candy’s cooking was top notch, and having breakfast outside on the back porch with the lovely scenery was one of our favorite moments. The Avery House was beautiful, comfortable, clean, and welcoming. Todd and Candy went above and beyond to make my fiance and me feel like family. This was our first B&B stay, and it’ll be hard to beat. We’d recommend Avery on Prospect Hill Guest House to anyone.

The location is fantastic, with downtown Galena just a short walk away. Todd and Candy made us feel like family and were incredibly welcoming. We loved the accommodations: the room suited our needs perfectly, and the upstairs sitting room was nice. Candy’s homemade breakfast each morning was wonderful; she’s a fantastic cook. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Galena.

My next stay is already booked. Todd and Candy are excellent hosts who have thought of everything, and I really enjoyed chatting with them over a delicious, beautifully presented breakfast. When I returned with a friend, the inn was nearly full, but the service and attention to detail were just as wonderful as when I’d been the only guest. Thanks again, Todd and Candy!
