Travelodge by Wyndham Gallup

We were tired and the room was prepaid, so we put up with the second room for a few hours of sleep. It still wasn't much better, and I'll never stay here again. The first room smelled like something had died under the bed. We lasted about 15 seconds before the odor was too much, then the front desk assigned us another room. Both of the rooms we saw were dirty and in disrepair, nothing like the pictures on the site. Motels in Gallup have usually been better than average for me, but this place was a real letdown. Do yourself a favor and skip it. There are plenty of other options.

Room 101 had a bed I could sit on in the dark, and that was about it. None of the outlets worked, so I couldn't charge anything. There was no TV, heat, or lighting, and the Wi-Fi didn't work either.

Kevin at the desk made sure I had everything I needed when he checked me in. At 62, I can say he was one of the nicest and most helpful people I've met in my life. I just can't say enough about him. Thank you so much, Kevin. He's an asset to this hotel!

We've been here two nights and are happy with things so far. Our room was clean, had enough towels, and seems soundproof since outside noise hasn't bothered us at all. The price is the lowest I've seen in a long time, and with the friendly staff and clean room, it's a great deal. We arrived really early, before the check-in desk was open, but the nice guy working there opened the office for us and let us check in without charging an early check-in fee.
