Candlewood Suites Georgetown by IHG

There was a soggy patch of floor around the AC, so wear shoes if you decide to stay. My first room, 321, had a toilet that leaked, wouldn't flush right, and hadn't been cleaned. I asked to move and got room 313, but that toilet was dirty too, with marks on it, and there was a dead cockroach beside it. When I asked to switch again, they said they were sold out and told me to use the lobby bathroom, where there was colored liquid on the seat. I had originally wanted to book the Holiday Inn, but the agent said this place was nearby, newly renovated, and might be a better choice. I travel to this area often and will avoid it from now on.

The room and restroom were clean, and I honestly don't have anything bad to say about them. The location was perfect for getting to the highway, and the stay felt well worth the price we paid. I was really impressed.

The room was clean, comfortable, and usually quiet, and the staff knew their jobs well. We had a single queen room, which would have been fine for me alone but felt a bit tight for two. Thanks to the staff member who found us another chair so we could both sit. The price was good.

There's nothing fancy here. It's an older motel with some updates underway, and it works well for people staying longer while working in the area. Rooms have kitchens and full-size refrigerators, plus free self-service washers and dryers. Google Maps may not take you right to the place, so check your map before setting out. The woman at checkout was professional and polite.
