Clarion Pointe Savannah Gateway I-95

My family booked more than 10 rooms for a July 4 weekend reunion, and after seeing the viral video I called to hear the hotel's side. The man who answered was rude. He said no manager was available, then put DD on the phone, who said she was the manager's assistant. She talked over me and told me to read the reviews. Most sites rate the place 3/5 stars. I explained that female minors would be with us and wanted to know whether this was an isolated incident. DD dismissed my questions and kept interrupting, so we won't stay there. Her behavior makes it seem the attitude in the video reaches the top. I'd like to know if GM Mike ever returns my call. DD said several times she didn't know when he worked, since he had no schedule, and she didn't know when the person she assists comes in.

We were in town to visit a family member and stayed one night. The hotel is close to the interstate and only a short drive from downtown or Pooler. Our room was clean, and breakfast was the usual hotel spread. Staff were great: when we hit a snag checking in, they helped and got it resolved quickly.

Best place we've stayed so far on this trip. The rooms were the cleanest, the people were great, breakfast was good, and it was very nice all around. Affordable, too.

The room was clean, the location convenient, and staff were reasonably nice. They weren't especially friendly, but they weren't rude like some reviews had led me to expect. It did seem like steps were being taken to address some of the staff who may have caused those complaints. Breakfast was disappointing: waffles, muffins, a couple of dry cereals, and sausage that was only restocked now and then, plus cold powdered eggs.
