Econo Lodge Lexington Southeast

We were three hours from home with our five-year-old and three-year-old in the car on a snowy night at 11 p.m. when we arrived with a Trip.com booking. The confirmation number had apparently been assigned to someone with the same first name as me. Barbra treated my husband and me as if we were trying to commit a serious crime. We calmly took turns asking whether this had happened before and if they could honor the rate for another room. She only got ruder, and literally laughed in my face when I asked for a direct line to a manager. We left because we didn’t feel safe, then had to find another hotel at midnight. I’ve never been treated so hatefully or aggressively. We had no control over a third-party booking mistake. I’ll never return, and in the morning I’ll call and ask to speak with someone as high up as possible. Someone with that kind of anger over a simple booking error shouldn’t be working with the public.

There were lots of people around and a lot of noise outside. I couldn’t tell if they were staying at the hotel. As we were leaving, my wife realized she’d left chargers in the room, but we were told they weren’t there. I know they were, but it’s okay. If losing a charger is what it costs to learn not to give this place another chance, lesson learned. At least there’s a McDonald's right beside it.

The breakfast had enough options for me: cereal, oatmeal, toast, granola bars, juice, coffee, tea, or water. The staff were nice, too. I slept great in the very comfy bed with lovely pillows, and the huge, powerful shower head made for an invigorating shower. I’d definitely stay again.

My family and I stayed one night in room 208. We woke up covered in big welts, and I’m itching like crazy. The staff were nice, but that’s the only good thing. I’ll share pictures of the bites.
