Rodeway Inn Georgetown

After our first night, my children and I woke up terribly sick, and we’ve been dealing with it for weeks. I strongly believe the heavily caked-up air filter caused it. Doctors confirmed it was an infection likely related to environmental factors. This place has potential, and the people seem good, but things are very dirty. Clean the filter as soon as you arrive, wipe down the AC system and vents, and wear a mask. They offer daily room service, so take it and ask for a thorough mop each time. Spill a little water and wipe it up to see how dirty it is. The rooms and building really need deep cleaning. I hope they turn things around. At first, I misjudged the place badly, and I’m ashamed of the assumptions I made. The old decor and poor cleanliness gave me a bad first impression. Along with a few other things I noticed, I made a terrible accusation out of fear and stress. I stayed for a week and started paying closer attention to things, and I spoke with the staff several times. They’re excellent, kind, and family-oriented. It’s clear they care about the business and their guests’ safety. The building is older, and they’re gradually making improvements. The rooms aren’t in top shape and could use a deep clean, but I never noticed signs or smells of mold, unlike at many other places. The locks are old but work fine, and there are extra chain locks for peace of mind. The parking lot is well lit, with security cameras throughout the property. Breakfast is limited to cereal and juice or coffee, but that’s better than nothing. After four days, I felt comfortable and really wanted to see the place improve. It has a lot of potential, and the fair prices make it worth giving a chance. The staff will work with you to make sure you’re satisfied.

The room could use a major refresh. There’s a large dent in the floor, and the bathtub finish is peeling. Breakfast was pretty bare, with just two cereals, nearly empty juice containers, and coffee that tasted odd. It’s passable for one night, but I wouldn’t return.

This was awful, and I’m only writing my first ever bad review because they refused to refund me. It feels like a place people hustle out of, a literal roach motel. Don’t waste your $60 here.

The Rodeway Inn is conveniently placed just off I-35, near restaurants, stores, and historic downtown Georgetown. It also works as a base for visiting Southwestern University, traveling for work, or passing through. The front desk staff were especially helpful and friendly, making check-in quick and easy and being available when I needed anything. I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the stay was for the price. The room was in good shape, with clean linens, a comfortable bed, and the basics for a restful night. The AC worked perfectly in the Texas heat, and the place was clean and quiet. It’s a good value, and I’d consider staying again if I wanted simple comfort and a good night’s rest in Georgetown.
