Spark by Hilton Savannah South I-95

The room, lobby, and hallways were spotless, and the front desk staff were friendly. My main frustration was the lack of anywhere comfortable to sit: there was no chair or couch, so watching TV meant lying on the bed. The hotel is handy, right off I-95, but it faces another hotel that shares the parking lot, and there's very little green space for a dog. It's Hilton, but it's a refurbished older property, not a new one, which is why I rated it four rather than five.

With downtown Savannah hotels priced ridiculously high for my half marathon trip, we stayed a little outside town and were pleasantly surprised. This hotel is right off I-95, and the front desk rep greeted us warmly. Our room was spacious, modern, very clean, and comfortable. The area felt safe and family friendly, with a few decent places to eat within walking distance. I'd recommend it if you don't mind a 15 to 20 minute drive into downtown.

This is our second stay, and we've decided it'll be our regular halfway stop on future trips. There was plenty of parking, the hotel felt safe, and it's dog-friendly. The rooms were clean and spacious. Monty at the front desk was especially helpful and suggested a room that might suit two people and two dogs better.

For such an expensive Hilton brand, the room felt very stripped down. There was no coffeemaker, microwave, or spare blanket. The flooring looked cheap, with gaps between panels, and the AC in the shared areas wasn't working.
