Budget Host Inn

The new owners are super friendly, and the room service staff were nice too. It's a safe, quiet place, and everything was clean and being renewed while I was there. As a trucker who's stayed at budget motels all over the country, I'd put this among the best overall. The cash price for three nights couldn't be beat. There are some minor gaps at the moment: no laundry room, coffee pot, breakfast, or bathroom outlet. Still, I'll stay here again when I'm in the area.

Check-in was fast, and the man there was friendly and helpful. The room had plenty of space, even with a microwave and full-size fridge, and the bed was really comfortable. The clean bathroom was roomy too. There was a good cable lineup, and smoking rooms are available. I'll definitely stay here whenever I'm back in the area.

The room was huge, and the appliances looked fairly recently upgraded, though the decor itself is a little dated. My first impression of the cleanliness was 4 out of 5. It wasn't perfect, but the important areas seemed well kept. The shower could use attention: the curtain was a bit moldy, and the shower head was so short it looked meant for someone about 5'6". Both attendants I dealt with were helpful and nice. Check-in was remarkably quick: I arrived at 10:48 PM and had the key card by 10:51. There was a booking issue from the site I used, which wasn't the hotel's fault, and the attendant sorted it out in about a minute. I've paid twice as much at other hotels for much less quality, so this was a good deal to me.

I like the old motel setup where you can park right by your door. The place is older but well cared for, with clean rooms, a quiet town, friendly staff, and excellent rates. The owner seemed proud of the units and showed me other rooms he had available. That's a nice change from the cranky attendants I often run into who don't seem to care about concerns. I'll stay here more often when work brings me to the area.
