Hampton Inn Madison East Towne Mall Area

So far, this is my favorite place to stay in Madison. It’s close to both the mall and downtown, and there’s a pool, which I didn’t get around to using but was glad to see. The staff were helpful and friendly, everything was super clean, and breakfast was great. Probably the best Hampton Inn I’ve stayed at.

The pool and hot tub were clean and enjoyable, and I liked the big window looking from the pool area into the breakfast space. Families also had board games and crayons in the nicely decorated lobby. Breakfast was good, with a useful 6:00 to 10:00 schedule. The rooms were clean and nice, and the staff were courteous and helpful. The shower pressure was a little low, and the price felt somewhat high for what we got.

We were here with our family for a Wisconsin ski trip, and the staff worked hard to help everyone. A large youth sports group was staying at the same time with lots of requests, but David at the front desk stayed personable and professional and did his best to keep guests happy. Bryanna (sp?) also helped me sort out several room reservations and special requests.

We picked this spot before flying out of MSN because it’s near the airport. The building is a little older, though it’s been remodeled nicely, smelled good, and had the usual Hampton Inn amenities. I rely on Hampton Inn for a spotlessly clean room and a comfortable bed and sheets, and this one delivered. The bathroom products were fantastic. On the fourth floor, though, the hot water wasn’t very hot and the pressure was weak, which seems typical of an upper floor.
