AC Hotel Madison Downtown

The rooftop restaurant has gorgeous views, and it really is a lovely hotel. I wish I could give it five stars. After a long day of flights and driving, though, we learned the room with the Capitol view that we’d paid extra for had been given to another guest. We were put on the second floor, looking at a parking lot dumpster and just the top of the Capitol dome. It was a terrible view. We deserved to have the upgrade charge returned. I didn’t take photos because there was nothing worth photographing.

Heather, the bartender on the first floor, is awesome. She knows me by name and remembers my usual drink. I always enjoy staying at the AC in Downtown Madison. Great views and a perfect location. Thank you!

My daughter goes to the University of Wisconsin, and after trying other Madison hotels, this is easily my favorite. It may be listed as three stars, but it feels more like a four-star stay. The place is spotless, the beds are so comfortable, and the location works well. The staff is outstanding. Sebastian, the manager, runs things beautifully, and Maria, Diego, and everyone at the front desk are attentive and helpful. Highly recommend!

Eno Vino bar is always a favorite. The drinks are good and the views of the Capitol and Madison are beautiful, though it tends to get packed at night. I didn’t stay as a guest this time, but I’ve stayed here before. A few weekends ago, rooms were blocked for my son’s wedding, and lots of family and friends had very complimentary things to say about the hotel.
