Economy Inn Globe

The night was quiet, the room was comfortable, and the air conditioning cooled it down nicely once it came on. I came back a few weeks after my first stay, this time for Cinco de Mayo with my sister, and recommended the motel to her. The young manager was pleasant to deal with again, and there weren't any problems. He'd added dark chocolate mints to give guests, plus another kind of individually wrapped mint in a candy dish, which was a nice little touch. For a good price and friendly service, this place is great. It isn't an upscale motel with a pool, jacuzzi, or fitness room, but I don't get why people bad-mouth it. I'd say it's probably the best independent motel in the area, though I haven't stayed at the others because they charge too much per night. The exception is the $31-a-night place with orange signs, but it looks really run-down. I bet most of the independent motels around Globe don't offer rooms or service as pleasant as this one.

My boyfriend woke up with bites all over his back and arms after we stayed here last night, and we think they came from bed bugs. The manager wouldn't refund us or give us a number for his boss. I wouldn't recommend this motel, especially for families with kids.

Your kindness meant so much to me as a parent, and I prayed for help when I called. My children are going through a very hard transition and are low on resources, with two little ones depending on them. On the way to their next destination, they'd used their last money to book two nights through Travelocity, but the other hotel said there were no rooms when they arrived. Travelocity wouldn't return the money for seven days, and another hotel would've cost over $100 more, which they didn't have. They were stranded and didn't know what to do. You treated my children and grandchildren with such care when they got there, after they'd already been through a lot. My heart was calmer after speaking with you. You truly make a difference. If we're ever in Globe, we'll stay with you, and I'll recommend you to everyone I know who travels there. Thank you. My prayers are with you and yours. God Bless.

It's been open for more than three decades and has had several different owners. They work hard to keep the place updated and up to code. It's clean, and while it's no five-star hotel with all the material amenities, it works if you just need somewhere to shower and rest.
