The room was clean and pretty good, though a little old-fashioned. The beds were a bit hard but comfortable, and the service was good with clear communication.

It’s a really good price, and one of the best budget places to stay. The outside might give you the wrong impression, but it’s very clean.

The room was absolutely infested with roaches. After we’d only been there a short while, one ran across the nightstand phone and my husband killed it. Then he spotted three more by the sink and bathroom, and as we packed and checked my service animal and our things, another crawled across the wall. It was 4 in the morning, and we had seen enough to leave. I went to the office to report the infestation, and they said we could move to a better room. After that experience, an apology and full refund should have been the only offer. Instead, there was no refund, and they said it would be better next time. There won’t be a next time. It was the most disgusting hotel I’ve ever been in, and I hope people save themselves this traumatic experience and go elsewhere. We paid over $80 for this roach room, which is insane. It was the dirtiest room we’ve ever experienced in 50 years and could be an extreme health hazard. It needs to be torn down and replaced. The age was obvious too, maybe 40-50 years. The carpet was almost black, possibly original, and the curtains, chairs, night tables, and other furnishings all looked about 50 years old. The old cigarette smell may be permanent. We booked after reading reviews calling it “dated” but “clean,” but those reviews were much kinder than what we found. At check-in my husband was offered a king bed instead of two queens for the same price, agreed, and they switched us to another room. During the check-in we noticed how old everything was, then found a large amount of dust and a spiderweb on the wall lamp beside the bed. It looked like it had been there a long time, so there seemed to have been little, if any, room cleaning. I told my husband I couldn’t sleep there and would feel better in the car.

We were staying there because of the ice storm, and the staff went out of their way to help us. I’d recommend it because of the staff.
