C'mon Inn Hotel & Suites

The jets in my room's jacuzzi didn't work, but the room was clean and everything else was great. Even with so much water in the hotel and in my room, the carpets didn't smell bad. It was one of the cleaner places I've stayed in Grand Forks outside the major chains. The location is great, and they also have laundry on site and a ping pong table. I plan to come back.

The front desk staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was decent for a continental spread with a nice variety. We had a good Saturday and Sunday night stay, and the beds were super comfortable in a clean room. The walls are a bit thin: conversations came through and woke us at 2 am. Maybe that's to be expected on a weekend, when people return from bars or events. It wasn't very busy, so we got to use the hot tub one evening. We had to check two tubs before finding one without a lot of sand or other debris at the bottom. Our windows faced the parking lot, and the curtains were so dark we could sleep without knowing what time it was. It's a great location, close to the amenities you need, and we'll definitely return from Winnipeg.

The continental breakfast was nice, and the beds were okay, but the street noise came through louder than it should have, probably because of the cheap windows. The adjoining room doors were cheap too and offered very little privacy. Service was very average. We got locked out of our room hours before checkout, as did several other people, and housekeeping disturbed us three times well before checkout.

The hotel impressed me when I first walked in, but the room was a letdown and hadn't been cleaned. These photos were taken right after check-in. I don't have pets at home because I'm severely allergic, and there was a ton of hair on the chair and floors. The carpet had tears, and the lamps hadn't been cleaned, which is minor by comparison, but the pet hair has really made me regret booking here.
