La Quinta Inn & Suites Grand Forks

The staff were friendly enough and the beds were comfortable, but I regretted booking here. I passed on other chains I usually stay at because I'd seen a bad review or two, and wished I'd gone elsewhere. The floors everywhere, in the room, halls, elevator, all looked like they hadn't been vacuumed in weeks, covered with dirt, hair, and schmutz. The TV didn't work, apparently because of the cable box. The front desk woman tried to sort it out and called a cable guy, but it only worked for 10-15 minutes before shutting off again. Nothing to do but look at the dirty floor, heh. It's affordable and close to several places to eat, but it needs more regular cleaning and updating.

I had a suite for a four-night work trip, and there was plenty of room for my things and a workspace. The location was handy for getting to the highway, parking was easy, and I felt safe and comfortable the whole time. Breakfast was a standout, with plenty of variety, hot and fresh choices, and everything kept clean and stocked. The whole building was very clean and smelled fresh as soon as I walked in, thanks to whatever air freshening system they use. The staff were great. I needed to change rooms and they handled it kindly and quickly, and my requests for extra towels and an emptied trash can were taken care of fast. That service means a lot when you're away for work. I was impressed and would gladly come back to La Quinta when I'm in Grand Forks, for work or otherwise.

We'd stay again. The staff were helpful and friendly, the rooms were clean, and the pool area was well cared for.

We were there for two nights and plan to return. Every employee, right through to the maids, was considerate, kind, friendly, and truly helpful.
