There’s mold, no insulation, and vermin. The place is filthy, with no housekeeping. The carpet is putrid, patched together from scraps, and full of the same vermin as the bed and, gulp, the couch. I spent several hundred dollars on cleaning, pesticide, water and bug-proof mattress covers, and bedding, then several weeks persistently removing vermin and applying borax. Now I’m comfortable as long as I don’t touch the carpet or use the dresser drawers. The bathroom neighbors are watchful, but otherwise it’s a low-monitor environment. The monthly price for this filthy place is on par with high-quality places like Talus. To be fair, the deposit is very low, and there are no credit checks or applications. It does have a microwave, refrigerator, cable, working plumbing and electricity, and, as a relic of the past, a working phone. For people with limited resources, it’s adequate and can be comfortable with some work.

I love the people who run this hotel, Raj and his wife, and the staff are really nice and helpful, including the maintenance guy and housekeeper Tom. We stayed here almost two years ago when we first arrived in town and needed somewhere to live. Now we’re back while waiting to move into our new apartment. There’s a dramatic difference from then to now. Mr. Raj has really cleaned the place up, the rooms are pretty and clean, and there isn’t much weird traffic anymore. Mr. Raj is a great manager and has made this a nice place, in my opinion. He’s helped make our stay pleasant, and I highly recommend it.

My husband and I had been homeless for six months when we moved here with almost nothing for his job. They gave us a great deal and treated us with so much kindness and help. The rooms are spacious and clean, housekeeping is nice, and it’s quiet. Definitely check here first for weekly rates!

One of the dirtiest places I’ve ever seen. There was stuff left by the previous guest, the floor hadn’t even been vacuumed, and cigarette burns were all over the place.

I called first, and they explained they’re a very small hotel, which I liked. I was nervous about staying downtown because of the drug abuse and homelessness around the area, but they said they had new management and that nothing like that was going on at their hotel. Thank God. When I explained that I’m handicapped and needed a first-floor room, they were so nice about it. I said I’d be there in 45 minutes, but it turned into three hours. It was really cold and windy, and I’d already been out in the cold for hours. She kindly held my room, and when I finally arrived, I got checked in within minutes without any trouble. They’ve been very nice about letting my PCA come and go to help me. The rooms are very large, clean, and well set up. My PCA said the new managers hauled a lot out when they took over, redid things, and kicked out all the bad. My first night was really quiet, and housekeeping is nice too. I feel safe here and wish them the best. The room has a big flat-screen TV, Wi-Fi, a fridge, a microwave, and a heater and AC fan unit. They told me the desk is open 24 hours, and they were excellent to me after the day I’d had in the cold.
