Brandt House

We've stayed at the Brandt House several times while visiting our college students nearby. The place is special: quiet at night, with fantastic linens and pillows and an exceptional breakfast. We enjoyed the big porch swing in summer and the comfy living room in fall. We also held a baby shower there one spring afternoon, and everyone loved the setting and the food. Highly recommend.

We had a good stay, and being able to control the room temperature was a plus. The comfortable beds, furnishings, house, surroundings, and overall feel were all wonderful. Breakfast was mostly great, though the eggs were overcooked. The bundt cake and croissants were delicious, and it was handy to have coffee and tea available early.

Breakfast was good, though I wished there'd been a little more variety, perhaps almond or soy milk, more cereals, oatmeal, or eggs made to order instead of only scrambled. The rest of our stay was terrific. It was quiet, peaceful, and charming, with a comfortable bed, working Wi-Fi, and soft new towels. We look forward to staying at the Brandt House again.

The New England charm and atmosphere make this well-run B&B worth visiting. Our upper-floor duplex was spacious, pristine, and comfortable, with a full kitchen, living and dining rooms, and a pullout bed for three people. A few of our kids were in a separate, well-appointed room on another floor. The coffee service and breakfast the next morning were very good.
