The Nest

The location worked well, next to Hwy 70 with restaurants and gas stations nearby, and I'd stay here again. My spacious, perfectly clean room had a kitchenette with a full-size fridge, dishwasher, electric range, and dishes for four. It also had a king bed, pullout sofa, two closets, and ironing board. The large walk-in shower had great water pressure. Coffee supplies, Dove shampoo and conditioner, and a hairdryer were provided. The front desk area is no-frills, with a small sundry room and self-service laundry. Nightly rates were great at $98.

A few months later, we still love The Nest and the help from the front desk. Thank you! We were driving from Delaware to Kansas City and needed a halfway stop. Elizabeth was so friendly on the phone, explained everything, and went over the pet policy. It's great to have a pet-friendly hotel. Her attention to detail made check-in easy, and the room was perfect. The Nest will be our midway stop from now on, thanks to Elizabeth.

I absolutely don't recommend this place. The owner also owns the Holiday Inn across the street, where we found bed bugs, so they booked us here. I slipped in the shower, whose floor was incredibly slippery, and it had glass doors. Older folks, be careful. They didn't do the room service we requested the night before. The front hallway, elevator, and whichever floor they put you on had the strangest smells. After a certain time at night, you need passcodes for the front door and rooms. Give me a break.

They charged the same credit card twice. I asked them to reverse one charge and handed over another card when I arrived, which they took and entered, but apparently never processed as payment. Now I have to wait 7 to 10 business days to get my money back. When I called to explain, the woman rudely hung up on me.
