Hampton Inn & Suites Greensboro/Coliseum Area

We stay here every week for work and will keep coming back. The Hampton’s rooms are spacious, the coffee stays hot and fresh all day, and we’ve loved the gym and pool. Breakfast is good apart from the sausage, which just isn’t right. This is easily the best hotel in the area for us, even better than the Sheraton, which used to be our go-to. The Sheraton costs too much for small rooms, no microwaves, and no breakfast. I’d change a few things at the Hampton too: the pillows are a definite no, the shower heads are awful, and they should remove the extra chair from the room.

After a BEDBUG sighting around 11:30 pm, we were moved out of our room. There were no other rooms at that hotel, and no other Hilton-brand hotels in town, so we sat in the lobby with our luggage on a cart until 4:30 am. By then, moving to another floor didn’t appeal anyway. After calls with management, Priti Patel, and other hotels, they eventually found a Holiday Inn with availability. We were told Hilton would cover it because of the inconvenience and their inability to accommodate us, but when we arrived, the room hadn’t been paid for. We had to pay out of pocket for a six-hour stay. When the manager finally arrived, she said this was the first report of BEDBUGS and promised points and a Be Our Guest Voucher usable anywhere to make up for the trouble. She said nothing could be done about our out-of-pocket expense after we’d been displaced for the night. The points were supposed to post after our Sunday checkout, and the vouchers were meant to arrive by mail within a month. She took our Honors numbers, but nearly four months later neither has happened. They haven’t answered our emails or been available when we call.

I accidentally booked three rooms but checked into just one for the whole week. Ms Ashlea called to let me know and went out of her way to get me a refund so my company card wouldn’t be charged three times. I stay at Hilton properties 150-200 nights a year for work, and service like that keeps me loyal. Thank you, Ashlea and Hampton Inn Greensboro Coliseum, for being honest, understanding, and committed to doing the right thing.

A solid Hampton stay. The staff were courteous and professional, and housekeeping left the rooms clean with comfortable beds. The hotel didn’t seem very old, and everything looked to be in good shape. Breakfast was the usual Hampton offering, hot and good. The coffee was ready early, which suited me.
