La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Greensboro NC

We had a wonderful, quiet, relaxing stay in a great location. The refrigerator didn't work, but we didn't complain since we had our cooler with us.

We booked three rooms for three nights, and by the second day our backs were hurting. I picked this place because reviews called the beds comfortable, but that wasn't true in my room or either of the rooms I booked for my employees. The pillows weren't standard size and were so flat that we needed all five on the bed just to make two pillows. Noise was another problem. The hallway walls were SUPER thin, so every conversation came through, especially drunk people returning late and talking loudly on their way to their rooms. We were woken several times every night by voices and doors closing hard enough to shake the walls. Breakfast was poor too: horrible coffee, no napkins for three days (when I asked, they gave me tissues), one green banana on display the whole time, and greasy sausage and bacon. Not happy with this booking.

The location was great, and the staff were pleasant. Breakfast wasn't very good, even as a grab-and-go option. Some things in our room were broken, but they repaired them quickly. An average hotel, and I might look at others nearby.

I've stayed at more than 30 La Quinta hotels in different parts of the country and love choosing them when I travel. This was the first with bugs. One ran out when I switched on the bathroom light. They moved me to another room quickly, and I didn't see any there. I'd still stay with La Quinta and would visit this location again.
