Red Roof Inn Greensboro Coliseum

First impressions matter, and this morning shift made mine awful. On both 3/7/26 and 3/8/26, the older Black woman with glasses took a very long time to check me in, creating a line. I timed it today, and it was over five minutes per person, maybe longer. She was watching movies at the front desk with the lobby door locked after 11 AM. I have kids and expect respect after paying to stay here, not complaints that I won't wait for her to move on her time. She should find work outside customer service, or, if you need her, put her on third shift where locking the doors and watching movies might make more sense. The morning shift should be ready to work and at least smile and say good morning, even if it's not their day. She's the reason for my one star. You'll see reviews go up if this changes.

The front desk team was friendly and quick to help make my stay a good one. My itinerary was ready when I arrived, and they put me on the quiet side I asked for. It was very quiet, which is why I gave the hotel five stars.

The room was clean and smelled good. There wasn't a mini fridge or microwave, and three pillows weren't enough for a king bed shared by two people. The man who checked us out was great, but the guy at check-in was curt and rude. It's near the coliseum, so it's a decent option for concerts.

I found a loaded syringe in the room, and an officer came to take it for testing. There were holes in the bedding, too. It was noisy all night, so I couldn't sleep. The front desk lady was rude and unhelpful. By far the worst motel I've stayed at, unless you're looking to get high and stay up all night.
