Hampton Inn & Suites Grenada

I finally got into my room at 5 PM, despite being told it would be ready at 3. I arrived about an hour early to ask about checking in, and staff said there were no rooms available yet but assured me one would be ready at 3. When I returned at 3:15, I was still told they couldn't check me in and there was nothing they could do. If rooms can't be turned over in time, don't advertise a 3 PM check-in or sell rooms on that basis. If an event was causing delays, staff shouldn't have promised the room at 3 either. Terrible hospitality.

After a long day of travel, Timothy Chrestman, the General Manager, went out of his way to make our stay pleasant. Everyone we met was courteous and helpful. Thanks for a great stay!

I paid $200 for one night, and honestly sleeping in the car would have been better. The room had bugs, and the carpet, chairs, and tables all felt old and dirty. Breakfast was barely edible: the eggs, salami, and potatoes were all bad, and the plates and forks were plastic. I don't understand the high rating. This didn't match what I've experienced with the Hampton chain, at least in Europe.

For a work trip, this was a really comfortable place to stay, and there are lots of food options a short drive away, plus a freshly remodeled Walmart. The room had a large TV, charging stations, plenty of extra outlets, a good-sized fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. The bed was very comfortable, with four pillows. Bathroom had marble accents, a big mirror with lighting, a nice tub and shower, and neatly arranged towels and washcloths. There were also large tapestries and decorative lamps. The outdoor pool and hot tub were large. Couldn't have asked for a better hotel.
