Courtyard by Marriott Portland East

The hotel has a nice modern look, and service at the front desk was good. Parking costs $10 a day, which seems unnecessary since there’s no parking garage. I’m not sure what that charge is for.

We were three people traveling from Vancouver to Oregon for the first time, and the two-queen room worked perfectly for us. It was spotless, spacious, and had everything we needed; the Wi-Fi was fast, too. The location was handy, close to Downtown and 7/11. The hotel has a gym, hot tub, breakfast options, and parking. The front desk staff were welcoming and helpful throughout. Special thanks to the lady with purple hair at the front desk, whose name I didn’t catch, for being so kind and informative. We had a lovely, comfortable stay at Courtyard by Marriott Portland East and would highly recommend it.

The pool and hot tub were a real highlight. The hot tub was actually hot and its jets worked, unlike at a lot of places we’ve stayed. The lobby, restaurant, and outdoor patio were all nice, and there are plenty of amenities. Our room was very clean and large, especially the bathroom. The beds felt a little hard to me, though my husband liked his. The area seemed safe, and it was handy being near 7 eleven, with easy access to everywhere in portland. We’d definitely stay here again if we return.

This is our go-to when we visit family in Portland. It works well for us, near the airport but far enough away to be quiet. Rooms are clean and comfortable, and the workout room is excellent. There’s a nice indoor pool and hot tub, plus breakfast and evening food and drinks, good coffee, and a full bar.
