Some staff are nice, but not everyone. They tell you how you have to park, and there's no room service. The laundry room closes at 10 PM, which I'd never heard of before. If you don't get what you need from the people who cleaned your room in the morning, don't expect to get anything later. The rooms aren't cleaned properly, the bathrooms and showers are unpleasant and in the worst shape, and there are roaches and other bugs. The rooms need updating inside. My boat got scratched while parked at the front.

The room was tidy and clean, and I really liked the shower. They're open 24/7, and there's an ice machine and soda machines. The front desk clerks are very nice and accommodating. I'm just two minutes from my granddaughter, which I love, and I'll definitely stay here again. I recommend Lakeside Inn to anyone visiting Guntersville.

The front desk guy was great. We did find the TV, fridge, and microwave unplugged when we got to the room. The beds were hard but okay, and a bit tall for anyone short to climb into.

The front desk said maintenance would check the strong sewage smell in the bathroom. He came within minutes, poured bleach into the drains and toilet, and plugged in a Febreze freshener. He told us this happens in our room and the one below whenever it rains, though he didn't know why. The smell was covered for about ten minutes, then it was back. We couldn't switch rooms or go elsewhere because town was booked for a tournament. My husband shut the bathroom door and turned up the freshener, which made it bearable, but I wanted to sleep in the car. The room seemed fine when we first walked into 228, and I started disinfecting as I do in every hotel. Cleanliness here has gone downhill. We won't stay again.

We were in a pinch and only stayed one night. The beds were clean, and the room got really cold, which was nice with a bunch of kids. There were also cockroaches and gnats, and the toilet leaked. It was a last minute pick, and not a place I'd choose to stay.
