The Plaza Inn & Suites

I prepaid $80 through Booking.com, but couldn’t arrive on time, so I contacted both the site and the hotel. The front desk woman said moving the booking to the next day would be no problem, since they had plenty of rooms and I’d already paid. Later I learned she had declined my request through the app. Now I’m out the money. I won’t book here again. The customer service was awful.

The pool was dirty, out of order, and had plastic spoons and other junk in it. This didn’t feel safe for my family. The locks barely worked, there was no secondary lock, and the key cards didn’t work. The AC and heat were out too. We asked to move rooms and had basically the same problems. The elevator wasn’t working, and farther inside the place was a mess: blood in the shower, furniture marks, and mold and water by the window. When I tried to get a refund through Booking.com and then called the hotel, nothing got resolved. The woman at the hotel was rude, and I got neither my refund nor my deposit. There were also homeless people staying there, which hadn’t been disclosed.

I should’ve read Jenny Reynolds’ review first. The sheets in my room had pee on them, and people out front were asking for money. My key didn’t work until the fifth try. The room had a coffee maker but nothing to go with it. Just disgusting. Don’t stay here.

Breakfast is advertised, but that’s false. The rooms are dirty, with torn, stained bedding, and roaches out in the daytime like they own the place. I saw management yell at kids for playing outside while people were doing drugs and getting high out front. Lots of people who weren’t renting rooms were sitting in the lobby. Just spend a little more and stay somewhere else.
