I booked this hotel at a great price for a concert at Live! Casino, just across the street. The staff at the desk were friendly, and the place was very clean. The free breakfast was good for a complimentary meal. There’s a small gym with enough equipment, plus an indoor pool and hot tub. The location is convenient, with plenty of places to eat and shop within a mile.

Parking was free and plentiful, and the location worked well for a business trip or a long weekend. It’s near the mall and lots of restaurants and activities. The staff were helpful and the rooms clean. There’s a pool and hot tub, and while the workout room is small, it has enough equipment for a good workout. Breakfast had good options.

The biggest issue was breakfast. My fiancé doesn’t eat pork or beef, so we asked for turkey sausage while it was being replenished. After waiting a long time, we were told it was out, the round patties. When it came out, it had been put into the same pan as the pork sausage. I’ve worked in catering, and you can’t mix foods like that. Someone could get sick, especially if they don’t eat one of those meats. The breakfast attendant, an older woman, kept apologizing and saying it was okay, but I tried to explain why it wasn’t. I ended up telling other guests what was what so they’d know, even though that wasn’t my job. I understand trying to clean up and condense things, but the foods should stay in separate pans and be labeled. Breakfast was otherwise good, but we’ll pick somewhere else next month when we’re back in town. It’s a shame because the location is perfect. I remember this place being nice when I stayed here years ago, but now it seems to be getting run down. The room was just okay and could use updates for the price. The shower shelves didn’t seem properly cleaned, and I could swipe a finger across them and pick up dirt and dust. Check-in was just okay too. The staff didn’t say much when I arrived, and one woman didn’t even acknowledge me, so I was asked who I wanted to go to. I wasn’t thrilled with the welcome, though it wasn’t exactly a bad experience.

I got to Maryland late while the area was digging out after an ice and snow storm. There were plenty of parking spaces, and the lot had been cleared. The room was cozy and welcoming, just what I needed that night.
