Travelodge Hardeeville

The man who had been sold the room came to our door, which crashed open until the chain stopped it. He yelled back when I shouted at him, saying they had sold him the room. I got dressed, found him in the lobby, and told him to leave and find another hotel or sleep in his car. The manager came to our room after I complained and said it should never have been rented. He looked around and acted concerned. We asked for compensation in the morning and were told no. When we went to the lobby for coffee, there was no heat, and the employees were standing in a space that must have been in the 50s. We'd been forced to stay because all the other hotels were booked. The room was filthy, with dirt everywhere. The door was dirty and scratched, there was a hole in the wall, and the smoke detector was missing with wires hanging out. The pillowcases were paper thin, and the pillows were yellow with sweat stains. The sink light was burned out, the bathroom door wouldn't close and latch, the walls had black marks, the toilet tank lid was broken, and mold had discolored the caulking around the tub and taps. A cockroach crossed the floor. We climbed into bed fully clothed and were just drifting off when the door burst open. This was by far the worst motel I've stayed at.

Ms Sherry has been really nice and respectful while we've been here. We really appreciate the service she provides.

They buy equipment and don't pay their bills!
