Econo Lodge Harrisburg - Hershey North

The staff were nice, and the location worked well for trucks. They accept dogs, and truck parking costs $5. Don't expect a nice room, though. The floor was falling apart, and the unusual shower looked like a 3yo had done it. The curtain fell down if you touched it.

After three weeks on the road, this was a good place to take my 34hr break. I had safe parking for my 18wheeler at a great price, and the room had a comfortable bed and strong shower pressure. The front desk staff were very nice. There's plenty of food around to order in and get a break from the never-ending road. I'm from Texas RGV and highly recommend Econo Lodge to fellow truckers. TA Pilot & One 9 is right across the street, and Wendy's restaurant is in front of the hotel. All drivers are welcome. Park your truck and enjoy it like I did. I had to stop overnight unexpectedly because a concert nearby meant I couldn't find another room. The bed was mildly comfortable, and there didn't seem to be bedbugs. Everything else was a problem: both faucet handles in the bathroom sink and tub were broken, the toilet was rust stained and ran all night, the hair dryer didn't work, and the TV showed nothing but static. Possibly the worst hotel I've stayed in.

The place looked abandoned when I drove in, with several mowers outside and nothing maintained. The whole property is rundown and dirty, and it should be closed. The room seemed untouched by cleaning: filthy floors and shower, dirty linens, a footprint on the bathroom wall, and a used washcloth left in the shower. The ceiling sagged and there were large gaps in the door. Disgusting. I'd give it less than zero if I could. Don't book here.
