Go somewhere else, I wouldn't recommend staying here. The room had holes and stains in the bedding, dead bugs in the fridge, cracks in the bathroom door, and a loose main door. The floor was dirty and hadn't been swept or washed, and there was dirt on the bathroom sink. On the second day, after dinner, a roach crawled on me when I sat on the bed. I want some of my money back for that night.
The room was disgusting: dirty floors, stained bedding, a sink leaking underneath, a tub that drained very slowly, and rust in several parts of the bathroom. Outside the room, the walkway was scattered with leaves and cigarette butts, even though it was winter and the ground was covered in snow. This Motel 6 was near the river and beside Dunkin’ Donuts. The reception doors were locked, so an employee checked me in through a side teller window. I asked whether the area was safe if all the doors were locked.
We drove 50 miles through heavy snow after checking availability two hours earlier and seeing a mobility room listed. My wife and I are both disabled. When we arrived around 3 a.m. on January 18, nobody answered the night bell. I've never had a motel or hotel fail to answer it before, especially when people need somewhere to stay in a snowstorm. Whoever was on duty should be fired if they can't do the job. Luckily, the Days Inn down the street had a room and someone on duty who answered. I'm pretty much done with Motel 6.
We needed a cheap room after helping a friend with a longer drive, and it got late while we stopped to charge up. The first room had water all over the second bed and pooled on the floor between the beds. There was an obvious hole in the ceiling that was letting it leak. We asked for a different room, which seemed reasonable, but the blankets there had very visible stains as soon as we opened the door. German cockroaches were scattered across the floor, and when I opened a towel to dry my hands, there was a pile of them inside it. I consider myself reasonable. You pay for a cheap room and expect a cheap room, but this was unacceptable. The place needs a complete remodel before it should be used for sleeping. I have videos, and one phone call could probably cost some people their jobs, but I don't believe in handing out bad karma. I wouldn't go back even if they paid me the $70.
The price was decent, and they don't charge extra for pets, which is nice compared with similar places. Still, I wouldn't return. The non-smoking room reeked of cigarettes, the blanket was filthy and so thin it was basically a sheet, and both towels were bad: one had a bug stuck to it, the other was stained all over. The shower had decent pressure and temperature, but rust covered it. Not pleasant.
