We held a family reunion here last week, and the staff were fantastic. There were a lot of us, so thanks to CJ for getting my family members checked in on time. The cleaning staff also set up spots for clean and used towels, which was helpful. Rates are reasonable, and the location is great for highways, restaurants, Walmart, and Shoneys. The rooms are older, but clean and comfortable.

We were in town to help a friend during the drag races, when every hotel between Florence and Hartsville was booked for the weekend. We were lucky to find a room here, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. It’s an older-style inn, and the rooms are a bit questionable. We didn’t see bugs, but some rooms could use a deep clean. There was food and trash behind the TV stands, and the chairs could use a handheld shampooer. The cobwebs near the window could be cleaned out of the curtains, too.

I found a good rate here and caught up on much-needed sleep before a three-day race. I’m looking for a reasonably priced, fairly quiet place near the track where I camp and race, and this former convention-style hotel fit the bill. It’s definitely seen better days, and the room was dated, but it was clean. The bed was comfortable, the fridge, microwave, A/C, and TV all worked, and there were lots of fresh, plush towels. There was plenty of room for my rig and it felt fairly safe. The hot water was plentiful, so I could shower whenever I wanted. I may even stay an extra day at these comfortable rates.

Stay away from this awful inn. I tested positive for COVID and couldn’t travel, but they wouldn’t let me cancel or get a refund. They kept giving me the runaround, and I’m out the money with no credit either, so it feels like I made them a donation. I wouldn’t book through a third party or directly with them. You might have better luck at Super 8.
