The rooms were very clean, which was the one good part of the stay. I had to pay an extra $100 deposit on top of the room cost, and I only found out about that policy after paying. I wouldn’t have minded if I’d been told beforehand. We had no TV for the whole stay. They tried to fix it, but it never really worked, and nobody offered a discount or a room change. I was just left to deal with it. I wouldn’t recommend staying here when there are four other places within two blocks that may be better.

The front desk clerk was very nice and sent us to room 226 after we’d been on the road all day. We’d stopped hoping to sleep before continuing home, but I couldn’t bring myself to stay in the room. I ended up sitting in the pleather rolling chair in the middle of the night, trying to decide whether to sleep in the car or spend more money elsewhere. I’d already paid for this room, and I chose to sleep somewhere else. I can’t say whether breakfast was any good. The bedding had bright yellow and orange stains all over it, and the decorative item had a white substance on it. I really hope it was yogurt or something else, but my mind went somewhere worse. I lifted the mattress to check for bed bugs and didn’t see any, though the rest of the place made me worry about upkeep. The windows were smeared, like a toddler had spread spit from their hands across the glass. I also saw a stained lampshade, a badly smudged mirror, splatter on the TV, and a gross room door handle. The toilet still had fecal matter on it. The walls and floors looked like they hadn’t been properly cleaned in a long time. There was a ring of dust and dirt along the edges, in places people don’t walk, so it seemed like grime left there over time rather than ordinary wear. The vanity had questionable smears, dust, and yellow grime. It clearly smelled and looked like it had been smoked in a lot, which was especially off-putting in a room sold as non-smoking. The mini fridge looked clean at first, but every rack was coated in something sticky, and the corners of the door handle pockets were caked with grime. They looked like they hadn’t been cleaned for months, at least. The bathroom, appliances, bedding, windows, and other surfaces all seemed unclean. I cleaned off the chair myself before sitting in it. If cleanliness matters to you, I’d suggest booking somewhere else. Much of what I saw looked like the result of long-term neglect.

The room was really dirty, and the bathroom floor was black and so warped it could trip someone. The TV stayed on its home screen and wouldn’t tune to any channel. When I asked at the desk, the response was just, “I don’t know.”

The desk attendant was kind and very helpful, and the room itself was clean and good. Breakfast was typical and alright, with a pancake machine. The hotel is right off the highway, though, so traffic can be loud. I’d ask for a room on the side away from the entrance. The place definitely needs remodeling.
