My room wasn’t cleaned properly, which was disappointing and uncomfortable. There was dried fluid on the nightstand, visible in my photos, facial hair around the bathroom sink and on the wooden stand beneath it, plus several hairs on the shower walls and floor. I’m hoping it was a one-off cleaning mistake or a management issue that can be fixed, since everything else impressed me so much. I may just have been unlucky, and I’d absolutely stay again, though I hope management improves room inspections. Tru by Hilton Hazleton is modern, comfortable, and beautifully designed, with spacious parking and a great atmosphere. The hotel is about a year old and still feels brand new, from the pristine lot to the thoughtfully laid out rooms. The reception and lobby are bright and stylish, with several seating areas, modern lounge spots, and private cubicle-style workstations for guests with laptops. There’s a new gym, washer and dryer facilities, a complimentary water station outside the gym, and coffee and tea by reception around the clock. Breakfast was good, typical hotel fare done well. I liked the scrambled eggs and especially the excellent thick yogurt. The breakfast area looked modern and spotless, like the rest of the lobby. The rooms are new and well designed. The TV greeted me by name, a classy touch, and there are three practical hooks for coats and scarves, a mini fridge, and a smart, comfortable layout. I highly recommend Tru by Hilton Hazleton to visitors.

It’s a very nice, reasonably priced hotel, and I’ll definitely stay again. The bed was comfortable and the shower got nice and hot. Heather and April were lovely and excited about the opening. I’d never stayed at a hotel that opened the same day I visited.

Everything felt new, modern, and very clean, and the interior is beautiful. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was a very pleasant experience.

I absolutely love them. They make it feel like home and actually talk with you. The manager is a great person, and so are the workers. It’s family oriented, which is beautiful, and the food is great. Everything about this place is great. Thanks for letting me stay there. I’ll be back soon.

We liked that the hotel was pet friendly and didn’t feel snobby, which was great since we brought our dog. It was only about a week old, so everything felt fresh and up to date, and it was a good value compared with places like the Residence Inn next door. Breakfast was good and had oatmeal; scrambled eggs or frittatas depending on the day; mini sausages; yogurt; granola; Raisin Bran; Froot Loops; Cheerios; bacon; hardboiled eggs; pancakes with walnuts, strawberries, whipped cream, and several syrup flavors; butter, jelly and other common spreads; bread and bagels. The staff were very friendly. One employee walked us through the buffet and fixed a treadmill in the fitness center when it stopped working. We forgot her name, but my brother thinks it may have been Tori or something similar. The gym had two treadmills, an elliptical, a Peloton, dumbbells and kettlebells, a dance barre, I believe yoga mats, and some sort of weightlifting apparatus. Pretty standard for a hotel gym, with a few unique extras. Our two queen room was good, modern looking, with a mini fridge and big TV. The floors had a wood veneer finish instead of nasty carpet. There was no coffee maker or microwave in the room, but there was coffee in the lobby. I don’t recall seeing a microwave there, though I may have missed it. The lobby had comfortable-looking seating and a pool table, but no swimming pool. Its business center had one computer, which seemed skimpy for an 80-room hotel, though it looked like there might be plans to add another. I don’t remember whether there was a printer. The laundry setup was inconvenient: the machines only took quarters, there was no bill-to-coin machine in the laundry room, and although the desk gladly made change, it was on another floor. One washer and one dryer didn’t seem like enough, and stacked machines might work better. They had no detergent, so my dad went to the nearby Turkey Hill to get some. That was early in the hotel’s opening, though, so I understand they may have had more important things to handle. There were no towels in the fitness center either, probably for the same reason. Both elevators also seemed off: when we called one to go down from the second floor, its lantern said it was going up, even when nobody was taking it up. The hotel was very nice overall, with just minor issues. We’ll be back.
