Honor Mansion

The room was spotless, with plenty of towels and effective A/C, two things that matter a lot to us. We stayed in Greenside Suite, #2, which Christine picked for us when she warmly welcomed us. It was spacious, with a just-right firm bed, crisp white linens, hardwood floors, a deep tub, a roomy shower, and a patio facing the putting green. We also loved the warm pool and the gorgeous, modern, spacious breakfast and dining room. Aidan, the young chef, made a different lovely egg-based meal each day and served it with a smile and a relaxed vibe. We enjoyed chatting about culinary school and his dreams. He's one of the people who make The Ruse feel like home. The housekeeping staff were friendly and did their jobs so well. Everyone, from Christine and Derek to Aidan and the rest of the team, was a delight. It was a relaxing, delightful stay with no complaints. Being just 3-5 minutes' drive from downtown Healdsburg is a nice bonus. We'll definitely stay again, and we're so glad we found this special place!

I’ve stayed in Napa plenty of times, but this place has been a standout for me. Healdsburg is an easy walk away, with great restaurants, shops, and parks, and there are lots of wineries within about 10 minutes. There’s a lot to do on the grounds, too: two bocce courts, an 18-hole natural grass putting green, and five pickleball courts, with seating around them. The heated pool and hot tub have cottages nearby, while the main building has carefully kept upstairs rooms with balconies and comfortable chairs. The patio has heaters and fire pits. Breakfast is included and really good, and there’s wine, coffee, and more available in the dining room all day. It feels like a bed and breakfast with hotel-style amenities. I can’t recommend it enough.

Christine was such a friendly, helpful host, and the stay itself was clean, new, and comfortable. Downtown is about a three-minute drive or a 20-minute walk. The breakfast was delicious, so be sure to sign up for it.

After a long drive, this was just the kind of comfortable stop we needed. The grounds are lovely and open, the location and amenities work perfectly, and the staff made us feel welcome. Everything was exceptionally clean, and the bed was so comfortable. We’ll definitely make it our stop when we travel to the Northern Coast again. A classy, restful stay, win-win!
