The next morning’s breakfast had a great selection, including grits, and a younger woman kept the food and everything else stocked. I told her I appreciated all her work. My only complaint is that they shouldn’t throw out the decaffeinated coffee before breakfast ends, especially when it isn’t available at night. Everything else was good. We were traveling to Norlina for my husband’s nephew’s funeral on 11/16/25. While booking, I somehow selected Hendersonville NC instead of Henderson NC and didn’t catch it until we were on our way. I had to book again at this hotel. When we got to the lobby, Ms. Hunter asked how we were doing, and I explained what happened. She immediately offered to see how she could help, and she did exactly that. It’s surprising how often people won’t help a guest, so I’m really grateful to her. Thanks again, Ms. Hunter, for going the extra mile.

The location is handy, with eateries, a hospital, and highways close by, and we got a good shower and a restful night. We’ve stayed here before and liked the room and service, but this visit didn’t meet our expectations for what many call a mid level hotel. The room was just mediocre and looked dated, especially the bathroom. What bothered us was the lack of a welcoming smile or information about the amenities. That’s always nice to see and hear. When we left, the desk clerk didn’t look up or say good morning, just asked whether we wanted the receipt emailed. They can do better.

I’ve stayed here several times and never run into a problem. It’s in a quiet business area outside town, with restaurants and a Walmart close by. The staff are helpful and friendly, and the rooms have been clean and comfortable.

For $175 a night, the place felt aggressively meh. The gym needs a refresh: there’s one treadmill and it was out of order, plus one rusty elliptical. Breakfast runs until 10, but at 9:30 most of the food was gone. There was cereal and a few rubbery hard boiled eggs, no butter or grits, and the fruit looked old. The woman eventually refilled the waffle batter. The room itself was clean and had plenty of towels and fresh linens. There were lots of outlets, a nice little desk, and the thermostat worked properly, which is always a plus.
