For the price, the location is outstanding, and the staff are friendly. It’s modest, but it meets your needs and expectations. A lot of the rooms look onto the indoor pool area, which is really cool. Just know that everything will smell like pool, and people using it can be loud during the day. It wasn’t disruptive, but it’s something to consider.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the service was great, no complaints there. But the price that night was really high, over $135 per room for a lake view. Only first-floor rooms were available. Since the hotel is on a hill, you still get a decent view from there. The rooms feel like 2 star motel quality, though they’re as clean as a 3 star hotel. Calling it a resort is a bit misleading. At $60 a night, it might be worth it. We skipped the free breakfast after being told it was just cold options like cereal and toast. We only stayed one night, so we didn’t use the pool, and that wasn’t part of my rating.

It’s a beautiful spot, but the motel has no elevators, so hauling my giant suitcase was rough. The parking lot was nearly empty, yet they wouldn’t give me a main-floor room. My so-called pool-view room didn’t actually face the pool, which was alright since other people’s kids were making plenty of noise anyway. There were a few dead bugs on the floor outside my room, and the bathroom was tiny. It was a bed and a place to watch the sunset, and that’s about it.

The staff were friendly and helpful, but the room and beds were another story. The place was clean, though it needed some care. Our shower didn’t work because the faucet was broken. In the first room, the closet was on the floor, as you’ll see in the photos. The beds were clean but hard as a rock. They moved us to another room where things weren’t broken. It’s a nice place, but we won’t be back.
