Thunderbird Motel Hillsboro

I only needed a place to stay for the night with my small puppy, but the man was so rude. He kept saying, “No dogs no dogs!” and shut the window in my face. I’d driven from Whitney to Hillsboro because the motel advertised that it accepted pets. There was no need to treat me that way or advertise something different. I was low on fuel, freezing, and waiting for my money to come through the next day. Motel 6 left the light on for me, and they were Fido Friendly. I recommend them!

I wouldn’t recommend staying here. They were very rude about my service dog and demanded paperwork they aren’t legally allowed to ask for. They also told me he couldn’t be on the bed, even though one of his tasks is to lie against or on me for DPT and LPT because of my anxiety and PTSD.

The rooms were really comfortable for the price, and breakfast is served too. Customer service was excellent. Thank you!

The lobby smelled like something had died, and the towels were rock hard with a strange smell. There was no ice machine, and the only outlet near a bed was over by the TV. The sheets had hair on them, there was no blanket, just a sheet and cover. The beds were okay, the toilet was clean, and the floors were nice and clean with no carpet. Still, I’d spend $10 more a night somewhere that changes the sheets every day.
