Maureen suggested we stop at Richardson's Beach on the way out, and we were glad we did, though I wish we'd had more time there. Finding the B&B was easy. The house's architecture won me over as soon as we walked in, and Maureen was warm and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of fresh island fruit and quiche. We'd happily stay again.

Maureen knows a lot about things to do on this side of the island, and her recommendation led us to one of our favorite mornings at Richardson beach, just 1 mile away. We spent two lovely evenings at her B&B. The rooms and bathrooms had a quaint feel, were clean, and had lots of space.

I only wish we'd had time to enjoy more of the quiet little spots around the house, with a book or a drink. The lava rock garden is beautiful, and the house itself is stunning. Maureen was great, too, sharing useful tips and a guide book for our stay.

The spot across from Carlsmith Beach Park couldn't be better. The house is fascinating, and Maureen is a lovely hostess. Make room in the morning to linger and chat over breakfast, it's delicious. And if you like cats, Seabiscuit the cat may come by to visit you in your room.

Whenever we're back on the islands, we stay at Maureen' s. It feels like being at home, and I'm especially well taken care of because she keeps gluten free pancakes mix stocked.
